As we are both exhausted, the highlight of today, perhaps this month: napping and snuggling for two hours with Zoe.
We took her to the Children’s Museum of Houston on Thursday evening (free family night from 5-8PM!). She had a BLAST in the Tot Spot and it was a totally worthwhile thing to do. On the drive home, Joel and I made bets about how many different viruses she would suffer from as a result of that hour.
Well, the poor dear has a runny nose. Today was a little rough - one minute she’s crying and fussy and snotting, and the next minute she’s running around happy as a clam. Totally unpredictable. Totally toddler, too.
She has also started yelling what sounds a lot like “damn” throughout the day. It could be a combination of the words Dad and Mom, or the combination of our influences… I won’t pretend like I never say that, but it is definitely not my swear of choice, and I would have expected her to say others before that one. So while I choose to believe that she is summoning both her parents at once, I’m continuing my efforts to scale back in the adult vocabulary department.
