Zoe’s new favorite word is definitely “no.” Whatever question you ask her, the answer is “Noooo,” complete with an emphatic head-shake. It’s cute, not adamant, because sometimes she seems to mean yes, and she’s just saying “no” because it’s her favorite.
This morning she stirred at 6:53AM, a mere 7 minutes before my alarm was set to sound. I brought her into bed with me as usual, relieved that she would drink a little milk before the long day apart. She might have drifted back to sleep were it not for the alarm.
When it sounded she sat up and said, in her sweet little voice, “Noooooooooo!”
Me too, Zoe. Me too.

That’s a great story. I miss you both so much! I can’t wait to see this for myself.
awwwwww… what a cutie-pie. William’s favorite phrase right now is, “dude, that was SWEET!”
Hey Blake! I totally have forgot about your site and how much it makes me laugh! I’m Ida (Stowe) Goddard btw. I used to work with Amanda @ Carter, Terry and I used to read your blog when I worked there. Now that A is back blogging, I saw the link to your site and had to stop by! I love how Zoe’s b-day is Valentine’s Day and Nolan’s is St. Patrick’s Day. A will never be allowed to forget! Anyways, just wanted to stop by and tell you that I love your humor – I think that’s your personality and I love it. I have a horrible sense of humor and it usually takes a lot for me to laugh, but all i have to do now is stop by hear and I get a smile. btw – Nolan’s favorite word these days is “Mammmmaaaa.” Up until this point, I have been “Daddy” and my husband was “Daddaa”. I think he’s got it straight now.
Awww, I feel for ya. I’ll think of you when I wake up at 6am and roll over and go back to sleep.
